Who is a friend? (the most asked question-the least understood question)

Is he the one who comes and enjoys your party?
Or
Is he the one who stays back with you to clean up, once everyone else has left?

Is he the one who wishes 'get well soon' when you are unwell?
or
Is he the one who sits by your side and holds your hand until you are fine?

Is he the one who tells you 'don't worry it will be fine'?
or
Is he the one who keeps talking to you until you are actually fine?

Is he the one who keeps coming and going?
or
Is he the one who stays?

Is he the one who tells you what you want to hear?
or
Is he the one who tells you what is good for you?

Is he the one you can't talk to more than a 'hi' or a 'bye' or a few nice lines?

Is he the one with whom you can't run out of topics?

Is he the one you hide things from, because one wrong impression about you and he'll stop talking to you?

Is he the one you cannot hide anything from, as every secret shared, brings him closer to you?

Is he the one with whom you remain your diplomatic self?

Is he the one whom you blindly trust and can remain yourself with?

Is he the one who keeps praising you?

Is he the one who makes sure everyone else is praising you, and points out every single thing to you that could go against you?

Is he the one who uses the words 'miss you' too often?

Is he the one who counts on you for every single thing?

Is he the one who loses you the moment you lose yourself?

Now after reading these questions, how many people came to your mind?
You are lying, or you didn't get the questions properly, if you take 10 names.

Trust me, you are lucky if you could think of a single name. We can be friendly to everyone but everyone cannot be a friend. Also, there is nothing like 'friend/best friend/ true friend/ bestestest friend' - these are categorizations done by kids. Its high time we grew up and realized who is a 'friend'.


And those who couldn't think of a name then I guess try being a friend to someone and when I say 'friend', I mean 'friend' and not an 'acquaintance', there is a whole lot of difference.

If you are a friend and still couldn't think of a name, then a big hug to you... Look around. May be in search of stones you are missing out on the diamond. I have suffered much, and I don't want you to suffer any more.
